SAN DIEGO

So on Thursday the kids and I left for San Diego. Dmitri was suppose to go but he ended up having to work on Friday. So it wasn't worthed if we went and we were only going to be there for one day. So Dmitri told me that I should go and just stay for a week. It has been a very long time since I have been down and actually spent time with my side of the family. My oldest sister came from Arizona. The reason why we are in San Diego is because it is one of my sisters birthday and this is the first time in many many years that we are actually all together. So far it has been good. The kids are adjusting okay to all the new faces. Elias loves everybody and Isaiah well he is a different story. To my mom he is totally ok. But the rest he doesn't want to leave my side. If I go outside he has to be there right with me. If I sit he has to sit on my lap. If my cousins or my sisters say hi he puts his face into my chest. If any of my aunts come near him he runs away and starts to cry. This is the first time I have seen this much whining. I mean it feels like I have a second body growing from the side of me with how attached Isaiah is. But great news: Elias learned to crawl while we are down here on Friday.... YES everyone he is mobile. Nope he doesn't need me anymore. Well I know he still does but he is acting like he doesn't now. When I pick him up and he is having fun while on the ground he freaks out. Crying throwing a fit but the moment I put him down he is totally fine. It's been awesome and all this I got to share with my family... It has been a great time for my side of the family to get to know my kids. The only thing is Dmitri wasn't there to share the moment, just like when we went to Texas so that Isaiah can meet my dad I think Isaiah was 9 months or so he learned to walk. That moment Dmitri wasn't there too. But it's okay!!! We have so many moments with our kids and we have the rest of our lives that a few with my family won't hurt. Spending this much time here after 7 years, I didn't know how much I missed San Diego till now. Being around my family, around so many filipinos, around old school eating spots we used to go to, being around our native language:tagalog. I love it. It makes me want to move back down. Well I have a couple more days before I leave back to monterey. I'm going to enjoy every minute with my family. And speak tagalog every moment of everyday while I'm here and surround my kids with it. Keep me in your prayers as I drive back home with the kids.

ANSEL ADAM has nothing on this

Mel wasnt a big fan of this one, dont really know why. i thought she loved art it was in her vowels on our wedding day.anyways. while i was walking i saw this piece of art a mile away, it wasnt because i was looking for it. it was because isaiah was yelling poooop pooop.so i searched and i found a nice big piece of ART. i had to capture it on film i just wanted to share it with my loved ones who apreicate art.

Family Hike

last saturday was a awsome one.Mel and I decided to go hiking instead of speading money and feeling dirty after we see how much we spent. but we still spent money this weekend on a hiking back pack for isaiah as you can see. we went to garland ranch in carmel valley. we tried going early in the morning trying to feel outdoorseey but it BUTT cold. we thought it would warm up as we get going . so we kept going and it was still BUTT cold and isaiahs face was so cute he didnt even want to talk. when we asked him if it was cold he said "huuummm".so we went home till about 10:30. it so cool being out there with the family. we're going to try to make it a weekly event for us.

the secret

Isaiah and i have this secret place we go to when we need to get out of the house. it over looks the whole golf course. its so beautiful from up here. we have a blast everytime we go, we throw so many rock, sticks, bugs, and leaves from here. on our way up we mess with the same ant hill everytime. its fun having a boy that does boy stuff, like scream at the top of the hill, fart step on bugs. Mel and I are so blessed with two beautiful boys. isaiah does the funniest things like when he woke me up the other day he just lungged himself on me and said wake up hello. it was not so funny at that time. i dont know why he did it to me he hates when i do that to him, i dont get it. i cant wait for elias to come of age when all us boys go up to do the same things together.

Farmers Market

So We decided to go to farmer market yesterday. It was a blast. Dmitri got off early for the first time since he has been working for Alhambra Waters. He got off at 4pm. So we decided to take the kids to the Farmers market and then Trader Joe's. We walked around, got some really good fruits and some vegetables. And we had dinner there. We got some Indian food from one of the vendors there. Chicken curry wrapped in Naan, which if you don't know it's Indian tortillas (bread) Whatever you like to consider it. It was really good. Dmitri and I haven't had anything like that in a long time. Isaiah seemed to enjoy it to. Can tell by his face!

DRIVE HOME

So our drive home from the aquarium, Isaiah was so excited he got to see fishes. So he was telling us all about his day in his own language. It was so cute. We had Jimmy Needham playing in the background. After Isaiah finish telling us about his day he started to sing really really loud. That boy do love music.

AQUARIUM DAY

So we decided to go the the aquarium after the kids naps. Our friends have this family membership and they had 2 guest cards so they let us use it. That was nice of them! Don't you think? Anyways it was the wrong weekend when we decided to go. It was so crowded. It was so crowded that we had to wait kind of in line just to go close to the windows so Isaiah can see the fishes. But overall it was good. Isaiah had a good time. It was so hard moving on to the next aquarium to see something different because Isaiah always thought we were leaving already. we had to keep reminding him that we were just moving on to the next thing. He loved the aquarium so much. Isaiah is learning so much. I can't believe his knowledge and personality can change in a matter of a couple of months. They grow up so fast. Isaiah was climbing on everything and jumping off. It was great!

so my sister janina (pic on the left) finally gave us some pictures from our trip down to san diego. It was such a nice time. So much food. My aunt from the Philippines was in town and my Uncles and aunts from texas was too. So my family had a mini reunioun. there was so much food. We totally enjoyed ourselves. Our kids did really well. Isaiah went swimming the whole time in my aunts pool with my cousins and Dmitri. And Elias was passed around by my Aunts and Uncles. It was nice to be with family.

THEY GROW UP SO FAST

Sorry it's been so long since we posted any updates...

Well it's been 2 weeks now that our kids have been sharing the same room. Which is awesome!!! We have our room back. Elias is sleeping through the night from 8pm to 7am. And Isaiah has conquered sleeping in a big boys bed: twin size bed. The first night that we switched him over we were so excited that he adapted very quickly. He didn't even get up. now when bed time comes around he knows because of us taking him to the bathroom to brush his teeth. He freaks out!!! But after that he grabs us by the hand and we walk to the room he goes into bed and gets his blanket and we pray and kiss him goodnight. and he tells us BYE-Bye! He freaks out when you don't leave the room after he says bye- bye or when you tell him no night- night! YUP Isaiah is growing up.
